Haiti’s Travesty of Justice: Police Goons Not Tried in Journalist Beating

All parties in the case of journalist Gerdy Jeremie’s beating by two agents of Haiti’s paramilitary police (UDMO) came to court on Thursday, December 11, 2014 for a hearing, as agreed. The hearing did not take place, however, because the dean of the court, Robert Cadet, had ordered the premises to be shut down.
