Merci pour cet article! Right now, either the NGO, the UN or the Martelly administration are trampling Haitians rights with of course the blessing of the United States. A lot of money is coming to Haiti, but it is certainly not going where it is needed.
Thanks for this information. All Haitians should be concerned about this. Whose neighborhood will be next? The Martelly/Clinton regime is just a land grab for foreigners.
You are welcome.
Le plus ça change, le plus c’est la même chose. The crisis demands a radical return to traditional values.
One love and sak pase Dady.
Mesi anpil for writing and posting this article. I am thankful for your continued vigilance regarding our beloved Ayiti. I spent a summer in Marigot at my uncles’ mother’s cabin that was very near the beach. The proximity to the ocean and the prominence of the fishing made a big impression on me. She still lives there. My immediate relatives are from Leoganne and some have roots in Jacmel. I feel that the southwest is under seige.
Do we need a ceremony to ask Petion and Marie Claire Heuruse {Emperor Dessalines’ wife} to help to save our birthright? We cannot let them take our land away.
In the meantime, any idea what we can do {petitions, calls, other} to protest this and stand in solidarity with these innocent people?

One love, Nadine. Nap boulé piti piti.
You are welcome. Thank you for your comment. I know that some people have written to Amnesty International (not expecting much help). We need to do better. I will look into it.
Kenbe la. Peace and love.
